The Decree on assistance for the self-employed (Bbz) can be used to help entrepreneurs who are now in trouble because of the Corona situation. One can receive temporary benefits through the Bbz. You can qualify for the Bbz if you are an entrepreneur who is temporarily in financial difficulties. The most important requirement to qualify for a Bbz benefit is that your company is profitable in order to be able to provide for your own income in the future. You apply for the Bbz benefit in your own municipality. After paying the benefit, the city government will determine if the benefit must be repaid as a loan or if your income during the benefit period is too low to be considered special assistance / relief.
At present, no opportunities have yet been opened up by the government to help businesses cope with coronavirus financial setbacks.
