CBA catering industry AVV as per 26 June 2018

The Minister for Social Affairs and Employment has declared the collective bargaining agreement for the catering and related company generally binding (AVV).

From 26 June 2018 to 31 December 2019, all employers of catering establishments, as well as employees, must abide by the provisions of this collective bargaining agreement. This applies not only for the determination of wage heights, but also to which days should or should not be worked, how many holiday days the employee has, etc.

The Minister of Social Affairs and Employment has declared the horeca collective agreement to be generally binding and this decision was adopted on 25 June and published in the Government Gazette.

Please note, employers of companies where more than 50% of business turnover is achieved with horeca activities are also subject to the functioning of the CBA for the catering industry.
